Linus as Dr Manhattan is spot on and Snoopy can pull off the Comedian. Pigpen as Rorschach is a stretch, but you have to have a 'recognizable' character as R as you don't see his face. Clearly Schroder as Oz is ideal. I suppose the thing i have a problem with in Evan Shaner's drawing is Linus...he doesn't have the abject cruelty to be the Comedian, remember, this is the same kid who hangs out in a pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin...
