That's why NBC is usually the one and only broadcaster. They occasionally show it at both Thanksgiving and just before Christmas. The scenes that get me are when young George 'saves' Mr. Gower, during the first few minutes ("Don't hit my sore ear again)" and Clarence's book dedication. Best movie of all time. I grew up loving this movie. But, within the past 15 years, they started showing it a hundred times each Christmas on every channel, I got burned out and it lost its charm. I saw this movie in the store this past weekend packaged with White Christmas and was two inches away from grabbing to buy before I realized I needed to save some money for others Christmas present first. I may go back and buy it after Christmas. I'm glad you shared this with your family. I'm just a little shocked your wife had never seen it. Yeah. I grew up loving this movie.
