See, the problem is that this is also the team behind “New Year’s Evil: Ten-Eyed Man.” (They were only able to get Johns back for the sequel next year, “GirlFrenzy: Ten-Eyed Man.”) Sure, they were entertaining tales, but you quickly realized that there was little to the stories besides the superficial sizzle (although bits like the “one-eyed salute” still bring a smile to me).

So, I’ll remain cautiously optimistic… but I’ll probably still wait for the Absolute Edition, so I’m not buying these issues four or five times.
