Kid Who/Kid Trek/Rascal movies review Star Trek

Kid Trek: Star Trek Movie Review

Here is another installment of KID TREK!  “Kid Trek” features reviews of classic or recent Star Trek adventures from the perspective of a child. These short audio interviews are conducted by me with my nine-year old step-son.

This past weekend I took my step-son to see “Star Trek” the movie. Even though it was rated PG-13, I knew he’d be able to handle the movie after seeing it myself a week before.  Not only did he handle it well,  HE LOVED THE MOVIE!  It made this geek proud to see my boy cheering for Kirk and company.

You can play this “Kid Trek” edition right here on the ONCE UPON A GEEK site with the handy-dandy player below! Running time 4 minutes and 33 seconds.

  1. He used “hot” to describe a girl! That made me smile since I remember him asking once “what does it mean when a boy says that a girl is hot?” Hahaha, he’s growing up so fast. I’m glad to hear that there is another Scotty fan, he was my favorite character growing up.

  2. What fun!! I just saw the movie a couple days ago, and loved it. I’d say kiddo was right on about everything. Except Han Solo. 😉

  3. I think JJ Abrams has singlehandedly kept Kirk, Spock, et al., from becoming forgotten characters, remembered only by older generations.

We took my gf’s 10 year old nephew to Trek, and he loved it–now he wants to see more Kirk and Spock!

  4. I’ve seen it twice loved it! Was worried they would ruin trek. I been watching since 74′ I think you have revived this old dog bones!
