Hollywood is finally listening to the viewing audience and giving us exactly what everyone has been clamoring for.\u00a0 So guess what deserving movie is getting a direct to DVD sequel this year?\u00a0 Am I thinking of … Batman … Hulk … Indiana Jones … or X-Files?\u00a0 Need a minute to think it over?<\/p>\n

Okay, what was your answer?<\/p>\n

That’s right!\u00a0 You guessed it!\u00a0 They are releasing a sequel to the “Lost Boys<\/a>“!\u00a0 Great guess!\u00a0 … oh … that’s not what you were thinking of?\u00a0 Color me surprised.<\/p>\n

A sequel to “Lost Boys<\/a>“, called “Lost Boys: The Tribe<\/a>“?\u00a0 WTF, mate?!?!?<\/p>\n

\"LostMan, back in 1987 “Lost Boys” was awesome!\u00a0 Vampires, teenagers, motorcycles, comic books, hot girls, parties, alcohol, guys with long hair and earrings… it had pretty much everything a pre-teen\/early-teen could ask for back in the 80’s. \u00a0I even had the movie poster hanging on my bedroom wall back then.\u00a0 But nowadays?\u00a0 Hasn’t the Buffy<\/a>\u00a0\/ Angel<\/a>\u00a0\/ Anita Blake<\/a> vampire-hunter fad sort of run it’s course?<\/p>\n

If you remember the film, there were two brothers who ran the local comic book shop that also helped Corey Haim<\/a> fight the vampires.\u00a0 These characters were called the Frog brothers, played by Corey Feldman<\/a> and Jamison Newlander<\/a>.\u00a0 Apparently someone recently got it in their head that these two characters were deserving of their own film.\u00a0 The plot of the sequel revolves around two siblings that are new to town that accidentally get caught up with the local vampire gang.\u00a0 In order to save one sibling, the other turns to the Frog brothers for help in killing a bunch of vampires.\u00a0 Wow.\u00a0 Just … wow.<\/p>\n

\"ReignAnd if this masterpiece (right up there with “Citizen Kane<\/a>” I’m sure) isn’t enough for you, you can always pick up the DC\/Wildstorm<\/a> comic book mini-series in May called “The Lost Boys: Reign of Frogs<\/a>” that bridges the gap between the original film and the sequel.<\/p>\n
