So I’m walking along in Best Buy the other day and I come across a display rack for the just released (but criminally delayed) Guns N’ Roses album “Chinese Democracy”<\/a>.\u00a0 Back in the day I was a HUGE Guns N’ Roses fan.\u00a0 Not just your typical, “I love Sweet Child O’ Mine<\/em>” fan.\u00a0 I knew all the lyrics to every song on their albums.\u00a0 I had some bootlegs of older stuff, interview albums, etc.\u00a0 Needless to say, I wasn’t too anxious about this new album as it’s just Axl and not the rest of the original band.<\/p>\n

When I noticed that larger item at the top, I thought… geez, they made a calendar for this P.O.S. album?\u00a0 Bizarre.\u00a0 Then I picked up the supposed calendar.\u00a0 Oh no, they didn’t … Yes, the did!\u00a0 They pressed this album onto vinyl!\u00a0 Holy Magroly!\u00a0 Maybe I’m just desperately out of touch with the music scene, but I didn’t think major music labels still pressed vinyl records.\u00a0 I thought new vinyl albums were just relegated to obscure underground bands that Simon likes. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

That’s kind of a cool bonus feature.<\/p>\n

Anyway, if I’m horribly out of touch and all albums have the vinyl option nowadays, feel free to blast me.<\/p>\n
