\"Transformers\"This post is inspired by some discussion on\u00a0THE UNIQUE GEEK listserv<\/a> as well as a post by my buddy SGhoul on his blog, Oozings from My Head<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A few years back, I made a CD of 1980’s cartoon theme songs.\u00a0 The more I searched for these, the more I realized how much fun cartoons in the 1980’s were.\u00a0 Perhaps I’m biased growing up in that era, but back then cartoons were so much more fun,\u00a0family-friendly, and\u00a0less … well, less stupid\u00a0than many of the cartoons nowadays (I’m looking at you Ed, Edd, n Eddy).\u00a0 Now, there were certainly some duds in the 80’s, I just think overall cartoons were better back then.\u00a0 There are certainly a few excellent cartoons nowadays, but the majority\u00a0of them are unwatchable to me.\u00a0 Again, it may just be that I’m old and over the hill.<\/p>\n

Below I’m posting the song list from my 1980’s cartoon CD.\u00a0 Each has a link to a video of the opening credits (Yay for YouTube!).\u00a0 If you can think of any\u00a0worthwhile cartoons I’ve missed, let me know!\u00a0<\/p>\n
