Are aliens from another planet real?\u00a0 Could evidence of first contact be just around the corner?<\/p>\n

Two stories caught my interest last week.\u00a0 The first story was about seven U.S. Air Force personnel admitting that UFOs are real.\u00a0 The second story was about a newly discovered planet that may be able to support life.\u00a0 After hearing both stories, a part of my brain devoted to conspiracy theory along with another part of my brain devoted to marketing collaborated and concocted a crazy theory.<\/p>\n

What if both these stories were purposely released as part of some information campaign to prepare the general public for the knowledge that aliens actually exist?\u00a0 This theory is based upon the idea that the U.S. government (or some other organization) has indisputable proof of the existence of aliens.\u00a0 If the U.S. government is going public regarding the actual existence of aliens, these two stories are a great starting point.\u00a0 If I were to design a slow information campaign to ease the general public’s fear about aliens, this is exactly how I’d start.\u00a0 Start with small news stories to expose people to the concept.\u00a0 Then you follow these up with stories encouraging tolerance towards aliens. Finally this would lead to the big reveal that evidence exists that aliens are real, or that human beings have already had first contact with aliens.<\/p>\n

UFOs eyed nukes, ex-Air Force personnel say<\/h3>\n

Seven former U.S. Air Force personnel gathered in Washington Monday, September 27 to recount UFO sightings over nuclear weapons facilities in decades past \u2013 accounts that a UFO researcher says show extraterrestrial beings are interested in the world\u2019s nuclear arms race and may be sending humans a message.<\/p>\n

Astronomers: Newly discovered planet may be able to support life<\/h3>\n

Astronomers have discovered a new planet that just may be able to support life in a nearby solar system a mere 20 light years from Earth.\u00a0 It’s called Gliese 581g and is located in the constellation Libra.\u00a0 According to a research that is set to be published in the Astrophysical Journal, the planet is “squarely in the middle of the habitable zone of the star” which offers a very compelling case for a potentially habitable planet around a very nearby star.<\/p>\n
