Find: Starman Trade Paperback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While strolling through a local comic shop this past weekend, I came across the very first <em>Starman <\/em>trade paperback!\u00a0 I own the individual issues (#0 &#8211; 5), and I realize the beautiful yet expensive omnibuses are available, but this first trade is special to me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Starman: Sins of the Father trade paperback volume 1\" src=\"http:\/\/onceuponageek.com\/images\/starman_vol1.jpg\" alt=\"Starman: Sins of the Father trade paperback volume 1\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was first collected in 1996, a time when trade paperbacks were uncommon.\u00a0 You really knew DC believed in <em>Starman <\/em>because of these trades.\u00a0 I was pleased to get it at cover price, thinking it was extremely scarce.\u00a0 Now that I look online, paying $12.95 was a fair price for a second printing.\u00a0 Worth noting is the cover looks sort of odd, like a poor digital scan.\u00a0 Weird.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you&#8217;ve never read <em>Starman <\/em>by James Robinson, Tony Harris, and Wade Von Grawbadger, you really should.\u00a0 It was truly groundbreaking at the time.\u00a0 Nowadays it may not seem like a trailblazer, but it&#8217;s certainly still a good read.\u00a0 Part of the reason I bought this trade (even though I own the issues) is to loan and get others addicted!<\/p>\n<div class=\"sharedaddy
