Jones Adventures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"justify\">If you&#8217;re like me, you&#8217;re getting anxious for the new Indiana Jones movie &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.indianajones.com\/\" title=\"Official Indiana Jones site\">Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull<\/a>.\u00a0 However, I thought it worth pointing out another cool Indiana Jones item on the horizon.\u00a0 On June 11th, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkhorse.com\/\" title=\"Dark Horse Comics\" class=\"broken_link\">Dark Horse Comics<\/a> will be publishing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkhorse.com\/profile\/profile.php?sku=15-020\" title=\"Indiana Jones Adventures\" class=\"broken_link\">Indiana Jones Adventures Vol. 1<\/a>.\u00a0 This is a pocket-sized\u00a080-page comic that is kid-friendly and should be fun for adults and children.\u00a0 The cost is only $6.95, which is a bargain for an 80-page comic!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Dark Horse describes it as &#8220;a story for anyone looking for stunning visuals, thrill-a-minute storytelling, and one unmistakable archaeologist!&#8221;\u00a0 Dark Horse is following the\u00a0same model they used for their\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkhorse.com\/profile\/profile.php?sku=12-982\" title=\"Star Wars Clone Wars Adventures\" class=\"broken_link\">Star Wars Clone Wars Adventure series<\/a> (based upon the popular cartoon mini-series).\u00a0 That model being cartoon-style art, digest format publication, and targeting the book for adults and children.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkhorse.com\/profile\/profile.php?sku=15-020\" title=\"Indiana Jones Adventures\" class=\"broken_link\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" width=\"400\" src=\"http:\/\/images.darkhorse.com\/covers\/15\/15020.jpg\" alt=\"Indiana Jones Adventures\" height=\"562\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">I realize some of you will automatically dismiss this as &#8220;kid&#8217;s comics&#8221;.\u00a0 However, I gotta tell you some of the most fun comics being published today are these kid-friendly books.\u00a0 Many really convey the excitement of comics, capture the colorful dynamic action, and have straight-forward plots without talking\u00a0down to the reader.\u00a0 As a comic reader, I find these types of books fun, refreshing, and adventurous.\u00a0 Just a few\u00a0examples of great kid-friendly comics on the market today include <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Power-Pack-Attack-Digest\/dp\/0785117369\" title=\"Power Pack\">Power Pack<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Marvel-Adventures-Spider-Man-Vol-Costume\/dp\/0785123105\" title=\"Marvel Adventures Spider-Man\">Marvel Adventures Spider-Man<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Fantastic-Four-Franklin-Richards-Brat\/dp\/0785123229\" title=\"Franklin Richards\">Franklin Richards<\/a>.\u00a0 Just remember\u00a0how much you loved &#8220;Batman: The Animated Series&#8221;.\u00a0 That&#8217;s a good example of an action-oriented series targeted at adults and children.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Gotta run.\u00a0 No time
