ONCE UPON A GEEK is one year old today!<\/p>\n

Hard to believe it’s been a whole year!\u00a0 The site went live on March 31, 2008 with a simple “Welcome and Introductions<\/a>” post.\u00a0 Originally it was an experiment to try and understand what blogging was all about. At the time I didn’t really think I’d be able to keep up with a blog, but I sure was going to try.\u00a0\u00a0 Early on I realized there were very few readers over the weekend, so I decided to just focus on posting on weekdays. Hence the description that it’s a “weekdaily” blog. Also, that gives me two days off each week so I can recharge my geek batteries.<\/p>\n

A year later and there have been 284 posts, over 1,000 comments, and over 135,000 visitors! And I’ve been foolish enough to start a second blog, the FIRESTORM FAN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

My thanks to everyone that has stopped by ONCE UPON A GEEK over the past year.\u00a0 I also want to thank all my friends and the blogging community for their support and assistance.\u00a0 Please take a minute to visit some of the sites below.\u00a0 These folks have been true gems and deserve all the support you can give.<\/p>\n
